Maddie is a 14-year-old with Crohn’s Disease, who choked on one of her iron pills. This led to her becoming fearful of eating and drinking to the point where she lost considerable weight and it began to impair her health and her happiness. She tells her story of how she overcame this fear working with the pediatric psychologists at Norton Children’s Hospital, and regained her health and happiness. The Coping Cart at Norton Children’s Hospital is designed to help ease children’s stress and anxiety.
