Sheryl is a 16-year-old with Myasthenia Gravis, a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disease that causes weakness of the skeletal (voluntary) muscles of the body. In this video she describes the onset of her symptoms, her treatments, and the strategies she has employed in keeping her life as “normal” as possible while managing her chronic illness.
